Good morning, folks! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas and Hanukkah surrounded by loved ones. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves over the past few days and participated in the various holiday festivities between 4 houses and countless family members. Today, however, I'm stuck in a strange mood because I'm at a crossroads between feeling somber that Christmas is over at last and feeling the anticipation of the approaching New Year's Day and the fresh beginning of 2015. I suppose that this weekend I will try to soak in all of the lovely memories we've created throughout this past year and await the magic of NYE to begin. One of my New Year's resolutions {one that I've gotten a jump start on already} is to dedicate additional time to bringing new and creative blog posts to AEE. Because of this, I've been working extra hard the past few days so that this weekend can be packed full of new posts for you guys to enjoy including Reflection & Resolutions of 2014 to 2015, and a DIY Holiday Martini Bar. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, today I'm sharing with you below some fun inspiration, crafts, and recipes to get into for the coming week: {Favorite Theme}: A Kate Spade New York NYE Party {Favorite Midnight Snack}: Dark Chocolate Fudge Merlot Cupcakes {Favorite To-Do List}: MiGoals 2015 Modern Stationery {Favorite Foodie Centerpiece}: Sparkling White Chocolate Lemon Truffles {Favorite Winter Wedding Dessert}: Marzipan Moose Mousse Cake This article on "Choosing Connection, Not Perfection" by the writer of The Yellow Table will jump start your New Year in the right direction.
Craving this week: Vanilla Bean & Fig Shortbread Drizzled with Honey Glaze. One of my favorite new crafts to make are these DIY Antique Teacup Candles. $1 teacup sets from the antique store, some plain wax, and a festive scent, and you're all set to give these babies as gifts for the new year! Tutorial: How to Make Teacup Candles. Don't forget to check back this week for my post on Reflections & Resolutions from 2014 to 2015, and a quick tutorial on a DIY Holiday Martini Bar {including recipes} for your NYE soiree. 3...2...1...HAPPY NEW YEAR'S!! Have a safe and magical New Year's, everyone. XO Anna Elizabeth
