The weather is finally warming up and, as I'm sure you've been made aware of via social media, festival season has officially launched with the most stylish and popular one of the year, Coachella. I love seeing the fashion from the bloggers, celebrities, and artists at these huge music festivals because it is not reflective of their typical, street wear. Oftentimes, the clothes are much more fun and over the top.
A lot of online boutiques and shops are getting in on the "festival-wear" action recently and are making our Spring and Summer wardrobes more stylish along with them. This week. I partnered with an online design label based in LA that I'm sure you're all familiar with. Tobi has everything you need to look the part for outdoor festivals and events this season; from this suede dress (my favorite) to fringe boots, statement jewelry, and more.
The majority of my Spring dresses fall firmly into one of two categories: dressy or casual. When I find one that swings both ways, like this suede dress, it instantly becomes a favorite of mine. I've been dying to get in on the lace-up (and velvet chokers) craze as of late and I couldn't quite find a way to wear the trend that fits in with my own style personality until I came across this dress. The color and texture of the suede is both cool girl and classic and pairing it with my black leather mules and vintage jean jacket proved to be the perfect combination for walking the line between dressy and casual.
After a day of exploring and shooting this look in the countryside of the city, Sam and I decided to make a pit stop for a glass of wine and some appetizers at a fancy restaurant nearby. The only thing that I did to switch this look from "festival" to "date night" was swap out the bucket bag for a sleek, black clutch, and replace the chunky, engraved rings with a delicate, gold necklace. It was definitely a much needed change from my typical LBD date night look.
