Last month, I was contacted by 20something and asked to contribute an original piece to be posted on their website and shared with their readers. 20something is a growing, digital media hub and lifestyle brand for millennials to go to for advice, entertainment, inspiration, and more. While it's no secret that I'm a very busy woman, between working full-time, taking night classes for my last semester as an undergraduate student, and running Anna Elizabeth Events, you'll also find that I don't turn down opportunities that come my way very often.
So, with that being said, I didn't want to waste my time, 20something's time, or each of our reader's time, by writing something that was totally meaningless along the lines of, "53 Thoughts Every Girl Has While Shopping At Target" or "6 Ways To Sneakily Use Your Ex's Netflix Account". Not that those aren't entertaining...or useful, but, you get the point. No thanks.
Recently, however, I read a very popular book by the brilliant author, Stephen R. Covey, titled, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People". One of the first things that Covey mentions in the book is the concept of "The Maturity Continuum". This topic really caught my eye in relation to millennials and how our generation tends to place the idea of independence on a pedestal while tossing aside high-quality relationships and the commitment to the corporate world. It is a subject that I'm not entirely used to writing or sharing on the blog but, I figured that if you are interested in the topic (or are simply procrastinating until 5pm), you might want to pop over and check it out.

Thanks, everyone! Don't forget to check back on Saturday for the latest installment of Weekend Links.
